Highly recommend!!! The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. I was a tad nervous going in for the removal of a wisdom tooth, but staff was able to answer all questions and provide reassurance. Dr. Yoon removed the tooth in a matter of minutes and I never felt a thing, he then followed up and provided detailed instructions for the healing process. Absolutely no reason to go anywhere else!

There is usually a stigma when it comes to “going to see the Dentist”. My children have been with this Office since they were 3 years old. Because of the gentle and patient care they have received, they are not afraid of visiting the Dentist! We have moved out of Springfield however we still come back to Dr. Yoon’s Office! The Dental Hygienist’s and Dr. Yoon are very professional, personable and just plain out amazing!

I just had my first cleaning with Dr. Yoon and his team, and it was by far the best experience I’ve had. The X-rays were completed with my comfort in mind, and my cleaning was done thoroughly yet quickly. The service was great as usual. I had two family members scheduled for the same day but their appointments were spread out over 4 hours. Dr. Yoon’s office was able to fit both appointments in during the first appointment time, saving me the hassle of an extra trip back to the dentist. I really appreciate their flexibility.

Makes going for routine dental work a pleasure! Dr. Yoon was amazing! My brother who is in college had a wisdom tooth erupting that was causing his upper gum to hurt. He was in a lot of pain. Dr. Yoon squeezes him in for an emergency appointment and took care of him. Less than 24 hours later, he didn’t feel any pain and he’s all set to go back to college. If you’re looking for an honest and professional dentist, look no further! Go see Dr. Yoon!

Dr. Yoon, the hygienists, assistants, and his office staff are nothing short of amazing. There are so many dentists here, especially in the DMV area, yet it is very hard to find one that genuinely cares about your concerns, financially and personally, makes you feel included and able to get the highest standard of care. The office staff is always friendly and attentive to any problems and concerns I have and more, to the point where I feel like we are family! The hygienists there are extremely caring and thorough, and do not rush with their cleaning process. They make sure they do not leave out any concerns and always educates me with prevention and awareness for future oral health problems. Dr. Yoon himself is an impeccable dentist and more. He always makes sure I am comfortable and explains the procedures he is doing and why he is doing it in a way I am able to understand fully and thoroughly. He also really makes sure to educate me on any gray areas that I have about my oral health concerns. Usually I have anxiety when I am at the dentist, but he definitely put my anxiety at ease, giving very painless procedures and throughout, he made sure I was comfortable and doing okay. Very meticulous and understanding, Dr. Yoon is a dentist I ABSOLUTELY trust. His entire office – genuine, superior service, patient, compassionate, punctual and highly efficient, I recommend his staff to anyone, THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!

Dr.Yoon is everything you would have hoped you have gotten in your dentist. He explains everything he does and why he does it and truly cares about you and not the revenue he would generate by doing more with your teeth than necessary. It is hard to find honest people and Dr.Yoon is not only honest but skilled at what he does. He did a filling for my teeth which another dentist had failed to do properly.

My wife and I have been patients at Springfield Dental Solutions for fourteen years and have been exceptionally satisfied–even happy, if one can say that about going to the dentist–with Dr. Yoon and before him, Dr. Schnieder, and with the entire staff. They take the time to discuss procedures to keep patients fully informed as to proposed courses of treatment, alternatives, and costs. They have always been more than willing and able to accommodate our appointment preferences, and on one occasion Dr. Schneider came in on a snowy Sunday to fix my wife’s dislodged crown that had been installed by a Colorado dentist some years ago. He rescued several of my teeth that had seen repetitive fillings (rather than crowns) over many years in the military. His crowns are painless (really!), flawless, and long-lasting. The staff, as well, are exceptionally pleasant, talented, and downright fun to work with (and to have work on us). There are obvious reasons why he’s constantly invited to teach dentists worldwide. And now, Dr Yoon has been there for several years and has taken over not just the practice but the incredibly high professional standards and patient-oriented philosophy. He, too, has worked both of us in for emergencies. Dr. Yoon takes time to show he cares and does consistently flawless work. And he, too, explains everything rather than just adopt a “trust me-I’m the professional here” type of approach. It gets better: the same level of professionalism is inherent in the character of every member of the staff, all the time. Bottom line: We have never once been less than fully satisfied with Dr. Schneider and now Dr. Yoon. We’re glad they’re so good, that they’re here, and that the staff is so incredibly good.

Dr. Yoon is the best dentist we have ever had. As DC transplants, finding a dentist we trust is something we never take for granted, so we are very thankful. An excellent communicator and a compassionate listener who always welcomes us with a smile, Dr. Yoon has always focused on our individual needs. Unlike many dentists who simply cite their “extensive experience” to justify their recommendation, Dr. Yoon explains to us in a way that we can understand and appreciate before moving forward. He strikes the perfect balance between providing his recommendation among the available options to best inform his patients, while also making sure that they are comfortable with their own decisions. Dr. Yoon also has a solid network of highly qualified colleagues – some of whom he knew from his UPenn dental school days – and they have also provided critical advice. Dr. Yoon also has the support of an excellent and friendly staff. Thanks to the talented office manager who is ever patient in explaining the complex world of dental insurance and billing, we are much better informed and prepared. Wait times in the waiting room have never been long, and it is easy to make appointments.

I was referred to Dr. Yoon by a neighborhood friend because I needed a second opinion regarding my tooth. Long story short, I was passed around from my general dentist to a local endodontist group and then to an oral surgery group.
One night I suddenly experienced a throbbing pain in my lower right back tooth. Made an emergency appointment to see my general dentist. He replaced a filing, but left it too high. I was still experiencing pain and went back to have the filing ground down and was prescribed antibiotics, apparently, I had an infection around that tooth area. I was told if the pain persisted, that I needed a root canal and was referred to a local endodontist group. After examination by the endodontist group, my tooth had a deep crack, couldn’t be saved and needed to be taken out. I was referred to an oral surgeon. At this point I needed someone who had the expertise to do all three to give me a second opinion.
I spoke to Dr. Yoon over the phone, told him about my situation and what happened. He was very friendly over the phone, taking his time to listen to my case, asking detailed questions, providing his opinion and what my options were. His belief was, save the tooth if it can be saved. Try to heal it because once the tooth is taken out, it’s out, nothing you can do after that. But if the tooth can be saved, you still have your natural tooth. If after attempting to save it, it doesn’t heal, the tooth can always be taken out.
I decided to make an office visit and Dr. Yoon was able to find a time slot for me the next day since he knew I was still in pain. Before he started any examination, he again took time to discuss the details and what his next steps were. He took an x-ray and examined the pain area. After his examination and reviewing the x-ray, he said my tooth borderline, between extraction or root canal. But in his opinion, he thought it was worth saving. But he also said if I didn’t want to go through the ordeal of having a root canal and a crown and would rather have the tooth taken out, that’s another option as well. He was never pushy in which option to take. He gave his recommendation on what he thought was best for me in the long term. I asked additional questions about each option and he took his time answering each of them in detail. We also discussed pricing for each option and he was clear and honest about the cost of each option. I choose to save the tooth by having a root canal and a crown. People hear the root canal and I always see their faces cringe with agony. But I have to say during the whole process I never felt any pain and it was as if I was having my teeth cleaned. After several visits to heal the infection, perform the root canal, get fitted for the crown and replace a few fillings, my teeth feel great and have no pain.
I’m great that I chose to get a second opinion with Dr. Yoon. He’s one of those rare dentists who do seem to care about the health of his patients and not in it just to make money. I will be leaving my general dentist and becoming a regular patient of Dr. Yoon.
